Our services are designed to help get you in shape. We offer various courses and training regimens that will help you reach your goals. UFMA-Dundurn provides a safe environment in which to learn and practice various physical fitness programs. Our facility is equipped with padded mats, and all of our fitness trainers are certified in First Aid and CPR.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a great way to get in shape. It’s a high-impact, total body workout that is competitive, intense, and helps practitioners increases stamina, flexibility and strength. Head Instructor, Gord Waddell, is a former World Kickboxing Champion and three-time Canadian Kickboxing Champion, and works with students to maximize their effectiveness in this rigorous discipline.
Cardio Kickboxing
Cardio Kickboxing is similar to Kickboxing. It’s a fun, lively way to get in the best shape of your life. Also known as Aerobic Kickboxing, Cardio Kickboxing combines various elements of boxing, martial arts and aerobics to provide a high-impact way of gaining greater stamina, endurance and overall physical fitness.
Self-Defense Classes
Self-Defense Classes are designed for people of all ages and conditioning. Self-Defense training at UFMA-Dundurn provides practical knowledge and hands-on training through simulated realistic situations where students learn about defense systems, martial arts theory, and personal protection.
Personal Training
Our Personal Training option offers a great way to get in shape through the development of a regimen suited to your specific needs and goals. Personal Training helps you burn fat, lose weight, tone specific areas, and become generally healthier. People taking advantage of our Personal Training offerings also learn about healthy eating and nutrition, and the importance of balanced living.
Afterschool Program
Our Afterschool offering is a Ministry-licensed program designed for school-aged children. After school, kids come to our facility where they can do their homework, enjoy a snack, participate in a karate class, and learn about the benefits of being physically active.
